Today was really was a lovely Saturday in beautiful Salt Lake City.
For starters, the weather was gorgeous, which is kind of new. So I felt like dressing up: wedges, a white flowy skirt, a blue halter top and a shrug, all together with my hair pulled up in a ponytail and side-swept bangs. No picture, sorry :-) (I’m not a HUGE fan of having pics taken of myself…)
Then the Farmer’s Market premiered today. My goal: a henna tattoo. (You know, to satisfy my somewhat nonsensical cravings for a real tattoo.) Mission Accomplished. (Next week: another henna for my mom and me. Mission status: TBA.)
Afterwards, we went over to a Latin American grocery store to get some Colombian flour to make arepas. You don’t know what arepas are? Oh you’re missing out!
Then, we went to Costco to shop for groceries. There, I discovered these incredibly nutritious mixed berry parfaits. They come in sets of four and are ohsogood.
Then, we went to check out the Chow Truck near REI. We loved both the price and the quality of the food. Really delicious.
And after making one last stop, we went home. It was a really busy day!
Then, as I was relaxing (i.e. blogging a little with HGTV on in the background), my dad hands me something that made my day an even better one: my friend Ashley’s wedding invitation! Isn’t it gorgeous? :)
What a lovely Sunday indeed…
